Sep 23 2024Taiwan Fu Hsing has been honored with the 2024 DEI Friendly Employer for the Senior Workforce Award, jointly evaluated by 104 Job Bank and Business Weekly. Among 133 participating companies, it is one of 22 businesses to receive this prestigious recognition. The award is based on five key indicators: friendly recruitment, culture, work, lifestyle, and environment. By utilizing big data analysis and qualitative and quantitative insights from experts, scholars, and media partners, the award establishes a model for employers who support a friendly environment for senior employees aged 45 and above.
Taiwan Fu Hsing's workforce spans ages 20 to 70, covering six generations, which is particularly remarkable given the relatively low labor participation rate among older workers in Taiwan. In response to the aging workforce trend, Taiwan Fu Hsing recognizes that senior employees bring invaluable experience that is crucial for passing on knowledge within the company. Young employees contribute creativity, driving innovation, while middle-aged employees play a vital coordinating and organizational role. Taiwan Fu Hsing emphasizes "leveraging talents according to aptitude" without restricting employment opportunities based on age. As Chairman LIN Jui-chang states: "Maturity comes at 50, and harmony at 60. We value not age but the significance of every moment in life."
Guided by the three pillars of "Enjoyable Work, Joyful Family Life, and Vibrant Health", Taiwan Fu Hsing fosters a "comradeship spirit" through interactions in sports and clubs, bridging generational gaps to build complementary teams and create a friendly, inclusive workplace. The company also actively implements workplace-friendly policies, such as regular health check-ups and tailored health seminars and fitness classes for senior employees, promoting their physical and mental well-being. Additionally, to address the specific needs of senior employees, Taiwan Fu Hsing provides lightweight tools and equipment, redesigning roles and tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment. Through these initiatives, Taiwan Fu Hsing aims to create a collaborative, multigenerational workplace that thrives on cross-generational cooperation.
